Thinking about Father’s Day, which is this Sunday, Carly Pearce can’t help but think of some special, if not funny, moments she shared with her dad on the day she got married. Carly says, “I have two things about my dad. Number one, he started crying so hard right when the music started playing for us to walk out that I got so uncomfortable I walked so fast down the aisle.” She remembers, “We stood there for a while so that my friend Jordan Reynolds, who was singing, could have time to get to a place where it made sense for him to stop.”

The other moment Carly recalls sharing with her dad on her special day was the Father-Daughter dance. She says, “Michael (Ray, her husband) had the idea of us doing some kind of funny moment together during my Father-Daughter dance. So, we danced a little bit to Jordan Reynolds Singing ‘Isn’t She Lovely,’ and then we broke out into ‘The Git Up’ by Blanco Brown. And it was quite memorable. My dad, he did it justice.”

We imagine Carly will be doing lots of dancing, crying, smiling and celebrating as because her latest single, “I Hope You’re Happy Now,” with Lee Brice, officially became her second #1 song of her career this week. Listen for the song on Bloomington-Normal’s #1 Country, B104.
