Central Illinois girl Gina Miles from Paxton, IL sang in her Team Niall Battle Round performance last night (3/27) on The Voice. The question is, did she get to remain on the show?

Niall paired 19-year-old Gina with 24-year-old Kala Banham. He gave the two young female artists the song “Skinny Love” by Bon Iver. Both sang really well. It was about as even a Battle Round performance as I have seen. Who won would simply depend on the slight difference in style and tone you prefer.

In my opinion, Niall did something that I have seen done quite often on the show. He wanted both artists to remain on the show. Therefore, he chose Gina as the winner believing that Kala would get stolen.

Niall ‘Blocked” Kelly during Kala’s Blind Audition. This was the opportunity to get her that Kelly did not get in the Blinds. Niall was right in his belief as Kelly did press her button to “Steal” Kala.

We will have to watch to see what happens with Central Illinois’ Gina Miles in the Knockout Rounds when she gets to work with this season’s Mega Mentor Reba McEntire as well as her coach Niall Horan.
