When you listen to Jackson Dean’s music, you begin to hear a pattern of free-spiritedness, always moving, never staying one place too long, having the heart of a gypsy. You get the sense Jackson has spent a lot of time contemplating life and how he wants to live it. So, we asked him if he had a life philosophy or guiding principle that he lives by,

“Time only moves forward. It doesn’t go backwards and neither can we. A lot of the driving motion of the tunes and the running, I guess, comes from that. It’s just like, time only flows one way, baby. And it’s just like ridin’ a river. You just put your feet up and go, no matter what. You know, just keep your feet out in front of you, keep your feet on the ground, whatever or however you wanna look at it. I’ve never been asked to put my entire life‘s philosophy wrapped up in one. But probably, my life’s philosophy would be, in the words of Elvie Shane, live fast and move slow, and just truly live while you can.”

That life philosophy seems to really echo through his latest single “Fearless.” Check it out in the video below.

What is your life philosophy?
