Jake Owen has scored another number one single with his song “Best Thing Since Backroads.”

The advanced release of the Mediabase/Country Aircheck singles chart shows Jake jumping from number five to #1 on that chart for this week.

“Best Thing Since Backroads” becomes Jake’s 10th career number one song. It is from an untitled, forthcoming new project from the singer-songwriter.

It looks like Scotty McCreery will hold the top spot on the Billboard Country Airplay singles chart for a third week this week with “Damn Strait.” We will know for sure tomorrow (8/2) when the official chart is released.
