Monday (4/7) is going to be a very big day for Kelsea Ballerini.

It could start out with Kelsea having another number one single. Her song “Half of My Hometown” featuring Kenny Chesney sits at #2 on the chart this week. That same song could win her the ACM Award for Music Event of the Year at the end of the day.

In between those two possibilities Kelsea will get to sing on the award show with Dolly Parton. How quickly did Kelsea agree to sing with Dolly on the show?

“As quick as I said yes to doing her audiobook. It’s all been kinda the same way, where she just tapped me to be the voice of this character that her and James Patterson made up for this novel that she wrote. I was like, ‘Well, I hope she knows that I’ve never done voice acting.’ But like when Dolly asks you to do something you just go, ‘I’m gonna figure it out.”

The song they will sing is called “Big Dreams and Faded Jeans” and it is from the companion album that goes with the audiobook, both titled Run, Rose, Run. When you download the audiobook you will hear Kelsea voice the character “Annie Lee.”
