Every February 22, we come together for National Margarita Day to honor one of our favorite celebratory cocktails. The margarita was created in 1938 in Mexico and is widely considered the official drink of having fun.

Personally, when I drink margaritas with my friends, I expect a wild night of unexpected fun!

Here are some of your favorite country stars with their own tequila brands that will mix perfectly for you on National Margarita Day!

Thomas Rhett Dos Primos Tequila

Thomas Rhett and his cousin Jeff Worn are keeping it all in the family as the founders of Dos Primos Tequila. Good news, the brothers are expanding the tequila brand with not only a blanco, but they just released a reposado tequila. The easy-drinking reposado tequila is made from hand-harvested 100% blue agave sourced from estates in Los Altos and the valley area of Jalisco, Mexico, and aged for at least six months in used bourbon barrels. The finished product is bright and golden in color, with hints of dried fruit, smooth vanilla and toasted oak on the palate.

George Strait’s Código 1530 Tequila

Investing in the successful Mexico brand, Strait’s Código, 1530 Tequila line, named after one of his songs, features five different expressions of tequila. The drink is made from matured blue agave and goes through an extensive process before hitting shelves in all 50 states.

Tanya Tucker’s Cosa Salvaje Tequila

Tucker teamed with founder Elle France on her tequila, Cosa Salvaje, which is Spanish for “Wild Thing.” Available in select cities across the state of Tennessee, each bottle of Cosa Salvaje is thoughtfully created from recycled glass and includes an embossed leather strap featuring Tucker’s signature logo on it.
