Blake Shelton kept his promise to honor a local hero at each of his stops on his “Friend & Heroes” Tour, and this one was extra special because it ends in a proposal!
Last week Blake was in Tulsa, Oklahoma and chose to honor Tulsa Police Officer Aurash Zarkeshan. Aurash suffered a near life-ending injury when he and his partner were shot during a routine stop. Sadly his partner died from a gunshot wound to the head and Aurash had to undergo extensive therapy.
Along with being honored by Blake as a hero, he received front row tickets and a $5,000 donation to the charity of his choice, the TPD Foundation.
What made the moment even MORE special, was he decided to propose to his long time girlfriend at the side of the stage, and yes, it was during Blake’s duet “Nobody But You” with his wife Gwen Stefani.
