Kenny Chesney is climbing the charts with his latest single titled “Knowing You.” It’s a song that he says reminds him of classic country songs.

The song was penned by Adam James, Brett James and Kat Higgins. Kenny shares that when he first heard the song it reminded him of the songs that got him excited about country music as a kid.

“When I first heard knowing you it truly did remind me of some of the classic country songs that touched me as a kid. And I’m not comparing my song ‘Knowing You’ to other big hit records. But it did remind me of some George Strait songs that I love, some Keith Whitley songs that I love. And it reminded me of just songs that really got me excited about country music in the first place.”

Kenny has scored 31 number one songs on the Billboard Country Airplay singles chart. I would think that qualifies him to be able to recognize a great song when he hears it. You can decide if you think “Knowing You” is as good as some of the great classic country songs when you hear it on Bloomington-Normal’s #1 Country, B104.

What do you think is the best country song of all time?
