Justin Moore’s latest single, “We Didn’t Have Much,” was co-written by Randy Montana, Paul DiGiovanni and Jeremy Stover. However, the minute he heard the song, Justin instantly related to the song in a very real way. “I don’t think it’s any secret, I grew up really rural, close to my family, small town,” says Justin. “I mean, we did the cliché stuff, eatin’ dinner together, and I did it begrudgingly. But I had to explain to my parents how school was every day and all those things, all the stuff that I annoy my own children with now.”

Justin lives in his tiny hometown of Poyen (POE-wen), Arkansas, with an estimated population of 300 people – eight of which are him, his wife, his four kids and his parents – and he says, “I thought that (‘We didn’t Have Much’) really expressed the beauty that is leading a more simple life. And so I’ve learned throughout my career that if I’m goin’ through somethin’ or if I relate to somethin’, it seems to be somethin’ that a lot of folks relate to.”

With the song currently sitting in the top ten on the charts and continuing to climb, it seems a lot of people are indeed relating to the song.
