Brett Young released a new album today (6/4) titled Weekends Look a Little Different These Days. He explains that his music is intended to give fans a look at his life and who he is.

“I hope it says the same thing that the other ones have said, the first two. My goal is always to pull back the curtain a little bit. Vulnerability and authenticity is first for me. It’s paramount. And so, the tour that got interrupted because of Covid was called ‘Chapters’. The reason for the song, ‘Chapters,’ it’s kind of a blueprint to what I’m always trying to do with the music. And that’s just realize that if I’m expecting people to invest in my career and my music, that I’m kind of exposing myself as a person. And so, this is a very different chapter in my life. And so, the goal was to capture a little bit more, let the fans know that they’re gonna continue to get a very honest, vulnerable me every time they come to a show or every time they buy a record. And so, just kind of identifying what the new chapter is in your life and letting that reflect in your music.”

The album has already produced a number one single titled “Lady.” It’s a song he wrote for his daughter, Presley, about his wife, Taylor. Listen for the song on Bloomington-Normal’s #1 Country, B104.
