Thomas Rhett gives credit to his 15-year-old brother for the idea of creating his double album Country Again: Side A and Side B.

“I thank my 15-year-old brother for this split of this album because … he’s 15, and he’s super hip and he’s on the Tik Tok trend and all that kind of stuff, and I asked him, ‘If I were to put out a record that had 26 songs on it, do you feel like that’s something you could listen to?’ And he said ‘Absolutely not’ (laugh), and I said ‘How far would you get before you just switched it to something else?’ And he said ‘Maybe … maybe eight songs.’ And I was like, ‘OK, that’s good Intel’.”

The first album, Country Again: Side A, will drop this Friday, April 30th. The send album, Country Again: Side B, will be released on an unspecified date later this year. The first album does include 11 songs, which is a few more than the eight that Thomas Rhett’s brother suggested.

The Side A album has already produced the #1 song titled “What’s Your Country Song.” The follow-up single “Country Again” is already at #24 on the Billboard Country Airplay singles chart and #27 on the Mediabase/Country Aircheck singles chart after just a couple of weeks. Listen for both songs on Bloomington-Normal’s #1 Country, B104.
