Thomas Rhett’s latest single “What’s Your Country Song” is now also his latest number one song.

The advanced release of the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase Country Aircheck singles charts show the song moving from #2 to #1 on both charts for this week.

“What’s Your Country Song” gives Thomas Rhett 17 career chart toppers.

The song is on the forthcoming double album Country Again Side A and Side B. The first half of the double album, Country Again Side A, containing the number one single will drop April 30th. Side B will be released later this year.

Thomas Rhett wrote the song with his dad, Rhett Akins, and fellow songwriters Ashley Gorley, Parker Welling and Jesse Frasure. Thomas Rhett recently explained the idea that led to writing the song.

“I just noticed that whether I was in Los Angeles or New York or Seattle or Nashville or anywhere in between, I just kinda noticed that everybody had some country in ’em, you know. Whether you lived in the city or wherever you lived, I think everybody has a little bit of country inside their bones. And so, we were just talking about how can we write this song, and so we decided to dive in and make the whole song old country song lyrics that tied into a story.”

Listen for the chart topping single “What’s Your Country Song” on Bloomington-Normal’s #1 Country, B104.

Congratulations to Thomas Rhett on his #1 single “What’s Your Country Song.”
