The guys in the group Parmalee have been friends with Blanco Brown for a couple of years now. So, when Matt Thomas from Parmalee felt like there was something missing from their song “Just The Way” — he knew that Blanco was just what they needed.

“Yeah, we hit it off immediately. We became friends. We realized we had a lot of the same musical backgrounds … he started playing me these songs, this stuff he had was dancing and animating … I was like, ‘I don’t know what this is, but I love it.’ When we had this song, it was just missing something, and I knew Blanco was all about positivity and purpose. So, I felt like the song was a perfect fit.”

Matt shares that the session they recorded in 2019, is what you hear now.

“Our producer was like, ‘Why don’t you get Blanco on it?’ and I’m like ‘That’d be great.’ We drove down to Atlanta a couple days after he agreed, and that’s the version you hear. It was really cool to get his vocal on it, and see it just kind of morph into what it is now.”

Obviously it was a good move since the song is the number one single at country radio this week.
