The Voice won’t be returning in September like fans and Blake Shelton had hoped. The singing reality show won’t be ready in time for the September premiere and will be replaced by American Ninja Warrior.

Taping for the new season was to start in July or early August. The current state of the coronavirus has halted production.

Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Gwen Stefani are the other judges slated to return for season 19. However, Clarkson will be setting in on America’s Got Talent for Simon Cowell, who recently broke his back during an electric bicycle accident. Gwen and Blake will continue to promote their song, “Happy Anywhere,” and for now they’ll continue being happy at home.
