Kane Brown is honoring America’s military veterans with a very special new remix of his hit “Homesick,” and the proceeds are going to help our military heroes.

Kane has partnered with Crown Royal’s Purple Bag Project to raise money and resources for veterans, first responders, and those on the front lines during the pandemic.

Kane’s “Homesick” remix features military veterans: General Wilson, Retired Petty Officer First Class, U.S. Navy; J.W. Cortes, Retired Gunnery Sergeant, U.S. Marines; and Sal Gonzalez, Retired Lance Corporal, U.S. Marines, who all sang their part remotely and were then mixed into the track.

Unfortunately due to the pandemic, Kane hasn’t been able to meet any of them yet, but he hopes to be able to connect with them in person very soon to show his appreciation for their involvement in not only the song, but all they do to keep our country safe!

The new “Homesick” remix being released today, August 5th, is incredibly special because it’s one year to the day since the original song was released.

The Crown Royal Purple Bag Project will pack one bag to donate as a care package to the non-profit organization Packages From Home for every stream of “Homesick (Veterans Version).” The initiative is part of the brand’s goal of giving one million bags by the end of 2020. The Purple Bag Project will also donate a dollar to Minority Veterans of America for every stream, up to $100,000.

So, give it a listen now!

You can also go behind the scenes for the making of the remix with the veterans who sang on the song.
