There is no doubt that Eddie Murphy is one of the greatest alums of ‘Saturday Night Live’. In fact, you can make the argument that he is the greatest performer in the show’s history. And finally, after 35 years, Eddie Murphy is coming back to host SNL!

Murphy has largely stayed away from the show since a spat with David Spade over a joke that was made in the mid 90s. He did make a small appearance during the SNL 40th anniversary celebration a few years ago igniting hope that the show and Eddie could the past aside and resume their relationship. It looks like that has finally happened!
