Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel along with his wife, daughter, and newborn son after getting home from the hospital. The newborn was found to have a heart condition hours after his birth.

Jimmy Kimmel returned to his show last night with some great, scary, and, thankfully, heart warming news. Kimmel’s wife Molly gave birth to the couple’s second son on April 21. For the first few hours, things were going well. However, there were complications discovered; the new born was found to have a heart defect and would need open heart surgery.

The little baby would have the surgery at a Children’s Hospital in California. It is stories like these that shows you how important institutions like Children’s Hospital and St. Jude really are. When parents are going through their worst nightmare, to know that these skilled doctors and nurses are there, gives some comfort.
