While many of us are spending Valentine’s Day with our “special someone,” country music star RaeLynn and her husband are apart on this romantic holiday.

February 27th of last year RaeLynn and Josh Davis exchanged their vows. That would classify them still as newlyweds in most anybody’s opinion. So, why is are the newlyweds spending what should be their first Valentine’s Day as a married couple apart? Is it because of the country star’s busy career schedule? That would be a very good guess and the odds on favorite reason for the separation on this day. However, it would be wrong.

The former contestant on The Voice and member of Blake Shelton‘s team on the show posted her Love and admiration for her husband on Instagram with the picture above and explains why the two are not together on their first Valentine’s Day as a married couple.

The message reads:

“My husband has always supported me in everything that I’ve wanted to do, yesterday began a new adventure for us. Joshua left for basic training to serve in our military and serve his Country.”

RaeLynn continues with:

“Saying I’m proud doesnt scratch the surface of how I feel. I love his heart and the man that he is more and more every single day. I married up in every way.”

She then asks for prayers for not only her husband, but all that serve:

“Please keep him in your prayers, thank you all for the support… prayers to all the families who have a loved one who serve.”

The “Love Triangle” singer then expresses her feelings for her husband on this special day that she cannot be with him:

“Im thankful today for my HERO Josh and the best Valentine a wife could ask for. Miss you already”

You do have all of our thoughts and prayers RaeLynn, for Josh and every member of our military. Thank you both for your sacrifice as we also thank every military person serving and their families.

To Josh, and all those serving this great country and away from their families, God speed and come home safe to those who love you!
