The duo called LoCash has scored their first number one single with the song “I Know Somebody.”

Chris Lucas and Preston Brust have been making music together for many years and they have finally scored their first #1 single on the Billboard Country Radio Airplay chart and Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart.

The advanced release of both charts for the week show “I Know Somebody” by LoCash sitting in the top spot for the week. While Chris and Preston have written other number one songs like “You Gonna Fly” by Keith Urban and “Truck Yeah” for Tim McGraw, this is the first number one song the duo has recorded themselves.

Interestingly enough, the song is not who that was written by the duo. It was penned by Rhett Akins, Ross Copperman and Jeremy Stover and pitched to LoCash. “This song was pitched, and I listened to it from the jump. As soon as it got past the chorus, man, it spoke to me, so it’s gonna speak to people,” Chris says of the chart topping song. “It’s not a rocket science song obviously, but the groove is incredible. It’s a fun little story. I sent it to Preston and he immediately said the same thing, and it was a no-brainer to put this out on our album.”

The song can be found on the album The Fighters from LoCash that is available in music stores and digitally everywhere.

Congratulations to LoCash on their first number one song “I Know Somebody.”
