Two of country music’s hottest rising stars, Brett Eldredge and Thomas Rhett, will host the 2016 CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock TV special.

Brett and Thomas will host the three-hour special bringing Country Music’s most storied Festival to a national television audience. The announcement was made on Good Morning America this morning (6/1). Below you can watch a video of the two country music singer-songwriters practicing their interviewing skills for the assignment.

The CMA Music Festival will take place June 9th through June 12th in Nashville. The annual festival has celebrated country music for decades with multiple stages and more than 500 artists and celebrities taking part each year. The festival will be attended this year by around 87,000 fans.

The Country Music Association’s website quotes Brett as saying, “I’ve played my heart out on every size stage at CMA Fest, from the crowds of 20 to the big stadium, because I love the energy of the Festival and the Country Music fans so much. And, now I get to host the whole thing with one of my best pals. You can’t beat that!”

Thomas added, “As a fan, CMA Music Fest was always the biggest event of the year for me. Some of my favorite memories are me and my buddies sitting in the nosebleeds watching our heroes play. It’s surreal and a huge honor to be hosting and performing on this stage.”

Funds generated through CMA Music Festival ticket sales for the nightly concerts and Fan Fair X benefit music education, reaching 1 million children across the United States. Since 2006, CMA and the CMA Foundation have donated more than $13.6 million to support sustainable music education initiatives across the country on behalf of the artists who participate in the event for free.

While the list of stars that will be included as part of the TV special has not been released yet, the 2016 CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock special has been scheduled to air on ABC Wednesday, August 3rd from 7:00-10:00 PM/CT ( 8:00-11:00 PM/ET).
