Chris Stapleton, Kelsea Ballerini and Old Dominion Win 2016 ACM Awards

The Academy of Country Music (ACM) has announced that Chris Stapleton, Kelsea Ballerini and Old Dominion are the winners of the newcomer awards this year.

Chris was named as the New Male Artist of the Year, Kelsea the New Female Artist of the Year and Old Dominion the New Duo/Group of the Year. These are the first ACM Awards any of these three artists have won.

Kelsea is also nominated in the Female Vocalist of the Year category while Old Dominion is also a nominee in the Vocal Group of the Year category.

Chris leads the ACM nominations with six additional nods, including Album of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year.

The rest of the ACM Awards winners will be announced during the 51st Annual ACM Awards Show. The show will be co-hosted by Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley and feature performances from some of Country Music’s biggest stars as well as some from other musical genres.

The three-hour live ACM Awards Show will be broadcast from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Sunday, April 3rd at 7:00 PM live CT/8:00 PM live ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network.
