Apparently Blake Shelton‘s charms and wit are not good enough to make internet celebrity Grumpy Cat smile.

The 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards host tried to bring up the spirits of the feline that has grown to be known as the world’s grumpiest cat through social media and its very own website.

However, that cat just wasn’t amused by any of Blake’s cat puns, his witticisms relating to kids or his presence in general. Watch the video above.

Blake is not only serving as the host for this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards, but he is also nominated in the Favorite Male Singer category.

The 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards airs live on Nickelodeon from the “Fabulous” Forum in Inglewood, California, Saturday, March 12th at 8 PM ET/7 PM CT.
