‘Coat Of Many Colors’ to Re-Air Christmas Day

NBC will re-air Dolly Parton‘s Coat Of Many Colors on Christmas Day.

If you missed the original airing of the faith-based original movie from the country music icon, or simply want to see it again, you are in luck. The movie will be broadcast again Christmas Day (12/25) st 8 PM central time (9 PM eastern) on NBC TV for you and your family to enjoy.

Dolly is excited about the chance to share a piece of her life with your family, “I hoped to bring some families together so they could sit and watch a movie like this. I really wanted to celebrate the people, my whole family, who made me who and what I am today. I’m so blessed and thankful for everyone who watched and I hope this story reaches many, many more when NBC shows it Christmas night.”

Coat Of Many Colors scored big ratings for NBC when it premiered December 10th with a little more than 13 million viewers tuning in to watch the movie. Variety reported that Coat of Many Colors drew the largest audience for an original movie on the “Big Four” networks (ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX) since 2011.

The film takes place in the Tennessee Great Smoky Mountains in 1955 and is based on the incidents in Dolly’s life around the time she was nine years old. Jennifer Nettles stars in the movie as Dolly’s mother with young actress Alyvia Lind as a nine-year-old version of the country music icon.
