The Country Music Association (CMA) has announced a collaborative performance with Thomas Rhett and Fall Out Boy for the upcoming CMA Awards Show.

The CMA Awards Show is known for some of the best collaborative performances of country music stars and some of the biggest stars of all genres of music. This year will be no exception. The CMA will reveal those special performances for the upcoming 49th Annual CMA Awards Show on what they are calling “one-of-a-kind” Wednesdays leading up to Country Music’s Biggest Night™.

The first collaboration was revealed today as one of country music’s hottest new male artists Thomas Rhett will take the stage to perform with the rock band Fall Out Boy. The announcement does not reveal what song (or songs) they will perform, but it is likely to get the audience in attendance on their feet.

Yesterday (10/6) the CMA revealed that Eric Church and Hank Williams Jr. will join forces to open the show.

The 49th Annual CMA Awards will air live Wednesday, November 4th from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm  central time live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on the ABC Television Network.
