Last night the Opry had legendary and newer country music performers like Charlie Daniels, Pam Tillis, Easton Corbin and Eric Paslay.

While Eric was performing his two-song set on the Opry stage, Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler surprised the audience by walking out on the historic stage between songs according to Rolling Stone. Speculation has been swirling around the legendary rocker for months about the possibility that he could be working on a country music project.

The speculation is over as Steven chose to reveal that he is INDEED working on a solo country album on the stage that has long been considered hallowed ground for country music artists. The Opry posted the picture above with the information on Twitter.

Easton Corbin and Eric Paslay took a picture with the rocker to mark the occasion (at top of page) and shared it on Twitter.

I am very interested in finding out what a Steven Tyler country album will sound like. However, I also wonder how well this project will be received by country music fans.
