Luke Bryan says he is in “album-making mode right now.” It has been nearly two years since the release of his last album. What Makes You Country was released December 8, 2017.

Luke says he has written more songs in that time than ever before. He also indicates a new album is imminent.

“I’ve written more than I have on the past couple of albums. Now that doesn’t mean … I don’t know if that will mean if that’ll equate to me having more songs on the album, but I definitely have a good bit of songs recorded, and [I’m] certainly in album-making mode right now,” he shares.

Luke has already released two songs that will presumably be on the album. “Knockin’ Boots” hit number one as a single. “What She Wants Tonight” has made it to the Top 30 on the country radio airplay singles charts in the two weeks since it was released.

He hasn’t revealed a target date for the album, title and doesn’t even know for sure how many songs will be on the project.

“Do I think the format of me doing a 15-16 song album is potentially over with? Maybe. But we do have things lined up where I have quite a few songs recorded, and when the songs peak, we’ll kind of look at them and determine what we want to come with next,” Luke states.

We will have to wait and see when the album is scheduled to be released, what the title is and how many tracks will be on it.

Listen for “Knockin’ Boots,” “What She Wants Tonight” and all of Luke’s hit singles on Bloomington-Normal’s #1 Country, B104.
