On the national level and compiled by Allstate for their America’s Safe Drivers Report 2019, the most accident-prone drivers come from Baltimore, Washington DC, and Boston. California motorists didn’t fare well either, with Glendale, Los Angeles, and Oakland making the insurance company’s top 10, plus three more locales rounding out the top 15.

On the flip side, Brownsville, Texas is one of the safest cities to drive, followed by Boise, Idaho and Huntsville, Alabama on the national view. Click here to see the complete list.

So what about right here in the Land of Lincoln? QuoteWizard.com compiled a list of the 50 cities for the worst and best drivers in Illinois. Their list is based on highest rate of incidents. Incidents include accidents, speeding tickets, DUIs, and citations.

Making the top five for worst driving includes Park Ridge (#1), Plainfield (#2), Crystal Lake (#3), Normal (#4) and Mount Prospect (#5). The other half of our “Twin Cities” here locally made the top 10 as Bloomington came in at #9 for worst driving.
