An Illinois Police Officer gave a homeless man the shoes right off his feet!

The Niles Illinois Police Department (suburban Chicago) posted the picture above on their Facebook page. The post explained that Officer Brian Zagorski encountered a homeless man who had tripped because of his shoes. One of the man’s shoes was missing the bottom.

After talking with the man, Officer Zagorski gave the man the shoes off his own feet to help him out. The officer also offered the man other assistance including a “Bag of H.O.P.E.” (the bag contained things like toiletries and clothing).

The man politely declined the extras, leaving happily with his new shoes stating that he couldn’t believe the officer gave him his shoes.

Well done Officer Brian Zagorski and thank you for your service and kind heart!
