Elton John Biopic Trailer and Space Jam 2 Release Date Headline Movie News

Lots of new movie news to get to so let’s jump right in!

ROCKETMAN

We’ve seen a teaser trailer for the upcoming Elton John biopic ‘Rocketman’ but now we have our first look at the full length trailer. Elton is being played by ‘Kingsman’ star Taron Egerton and hits theaters on May 31st.

SPACE JAM 2

According to Sports Illustrated, the LeBron James lead Space Jam 2 will hit theaters on July 16 2021, 25 years after the original with Michael Jordan came out. The movie will be shot this summer after the NBA season.

CAPTAIN MARVEL

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that pre-sale ticket sales for the upcoming Marvel film, ‘Captain Marvel’, have already passed ‘Wonder Woman’s’ and ‘Aquaman’s’ pre-sale numbers. That shouldn’t come as a huge surprise based on the buzz the movie is receiving and that the latter films are in the struggling DC movie universe. Marvel’s MCU has not had any such issues due to their movies being…well…good movies. In fact, ‘Captain Marvel’ ranks 3rd in MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) in pre-sale ticket sales behind only ‘Avengers: Infinity Wars’ and ‘Black Panther’. ‘Captain Marvel’ will roar into theaters on March 8th
