Have seen the police departments around the country answering the Lip Sync Challenge 2018 on social media? A local PD has taken part, the Leroy Police Department.

It seems like this time of year some new “challenge” becomes the social media buzz of the summer. There has been the “ALS Ice Bucket Challenge,” “Pie Face Challenge,” “ALS Hot Pepper Challenge” and now the “Lip Sync Challenge.”

From what I can find online the Lip Sync Challenge is just for fun among first responders nationwide to get the most viral video.

LeRoy, Illinois Police Department’s Officer Robert King enlisted the help of the department’s mascot “Leo” to take part in the challenge. The two play out a little story to the song “You’ve Got A Friend In Me” by Randy Newman. Watch the fun in the video at the top of the page.
