Russell Dickerson has scored his first #1 single while Eric Church simultaneously scores his sixth #1 single.

The advanced Billboard Country Airplay singles chart shows Russell Dickerson has reached the top with his song “Yours.”

This is Russell’s first time hitting number one in his career with a single. The song is the title track for Russell’s debut studio album that is available everywhere now.

Russell explains how the song became something that he never intended it to be, “People just connected to ‘Yours,’ and shared it and it became this wedding song,” he shares. “We didn’t write it for that. We weren’t like, ‘Hey, what would couples love to hear for their first dance?’ But, it’s turned into the perfect first-dance song. It was just writing an honest love song. I wrote it with two people that had seen my relationship with my wife from day one and so it was just this super honest love song and I think that’s what connects with people. It is an honest love song because when you meet that one person, it changes you.”

The advanced Mediabase/Country Aircheck singles chart for this week shows that Eric Church has risen to the #1 spot with his song “Round Here Buzz.”

This marks Eric’s sixth career chart topping single and second from his album Mr. Misunderstood that is also available everywhere now.

Eric says of his latest #1 single, “‘Round Here Buzz,’ I mean, I’ve done a few of these songs in my career; this nostalgic kind of song about the guy that kind of wishes things were different than they are. I know a lot of people like that and like this from where I’m from. I’m from a small town, and I’ve just seen this. I think part of the reason, I feel like we’re pretty good at this kind of song, and I think part of it is because I’ve seen it, I’ve felt it. It’s a motive to me.”

Congratulations to Russell Dickerson and Eric Church on their number one songs!
