Tonight (5/19) is the finale of season eight of “The Voice.” What does iTunes predict for Meghan Linsey and her coach Blake Shelton?

I checked the iTunes sales at just before 9:00am central time to see where the final four on “The Voice” were ranked in the sales and that single avenue of voting. With a couple more hours of voting left here are where the songs from the final four were ranked on iTunes.

Based on the iTunes sales alone it looks as if it will be Sawyer Fredericks and his coach Pharrell Williams that will win “The Voice” season eight. Last night during one of the interview segments Carson Daly even called Sawyer “Mr. iTunes” and pointed out that he was the only artist that was in the top ten on iTunes after every live show this season. Sawyer has four of his previous songs still in the top 150 on the iTunes chart and two of those are in the top 100. Remember that for the final vote to name the winner ALL iTunes sales from the entire season count as votes.

I would say that Meghan is running in the second spot based on the iTunes sales. She has two other songs that are still in the top 150 on the iTunes chart. You can watch Meghan’s performance from last night’s (5/18) show below of her original song and her duet with her coach Blake Shelton.

I point this out each week in my blog and I will do it again. The iTunes sales is just one avenue of voting for “The Voice.” The other forms of voting cannot be tracked by me or anybody outside the show. That means that what I have pointed out above may not be the way things finish on the show tonight. I am just pointing out that based on the iTunes sales/votes, it will take some major ground made up in those other forms of voting for any of the other three artists to move ahead of Sawyer for the win.

Based on the iTunes sales alone I am predicting that final four will rank this way in the end: #1 Sawyer Fredericks – Team Pharrell, #2 Meghan Linsey – Team Blake, #3 Joshua Davis – Team Adam, #4 Koryn Hawthorne – Team Pharrell.

We will have to tune in for “The Voice” season eight live finale tonight to find out which order the top four finish in for sure. The show should be a good one to watch with performances by Luke Bryan, Sheryl Crow, Kelly Clarkson, John Fogerty, Ed Sheeran, Meghan Trainor and Top 20 from season eight of “The Voice.” Luke will be performing a brand new song called “Kick The Dust Up” from his new album that will be released later this year. The live finale begins at 7pm central time on NBC TV.
