Miranda Lambert decided to kick off her 2015 Certified Platinum Tour with a surprise concert in Nashville Tuesday night (1/13).
The reigning five-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year took to Twitter yesterday to let the Music City know that her 2015 tour would start with a surprise concert.
Miranda posted on her Twitter account the message; “Been at rehearsals all week in Nashville for the #CertifiedPlatinum tour. We are so excited that we decided to kick it off right…so…”
She followed that post with this one; “So…we are playing tonight!!!!! Exit/In 2208 Elliston Pl. 18+. no cover. 7pm doors. Can't wait to see Yall Nashville! #CertifiedPlatinum”
That was about 4pm central time. By the time the show was ready to begin the house was packed with fans. The Boot reports that Miranda told the audience that after rehearsing by themselves she and her band; “were just ready to play for some people.”
Gwen Sebastian was on hand for the impromptu show and joined Miranda for a cover of Little Big Town’s song “Girl Crush” which you can watch in the video below.
Don’t forget that Miranda Lambert’s 2015 Certified Platinum Tour will be at the Peoria Civic Center Saturday, February 21st with special guests Justin Moore and RaeLynn. Tickets for the show are on sale now. Get complete concert and ticket details here.
