Polar Vortex Could Bring Dangerous Ice Storms

The brutally cold weather could be giving way to heavy snows and crippling ice storms in a large chunk of the U.S..

Up to 3/4ths of an inch of ice are predicted for Wednesday and Thursday across a region that stretches from Oklahoma to Virginia, including parts of Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, and West Virginia. That could lead to downed power lines, falling tree limbs and extremely difficult travel.

Areas to the north of that band should brace for more snowfall, including cities like Chicago, New York, and Pittsburgh.

Would you rather deal with bitter cold or excessive heat?  How do you go about ‘winterizing’ your home?
