Illinois Reopens: Restrictions Lifted as State Enters Phase 5

Welcome to Phase 5 Bloomington-Normal!

After nearly 15 months of shutdowns, limited capacity and sheltering at home, the State of Illinois is fully reopen today!

As Illinois enters Phase 5 of the reopening plan today, what does that mean for you?

Masks are still required on public transportation and in airports, schools and hospitals, and business can have their own rules for masks and social distancing.

Fully vaccinated people can resume life and daily activities without wearing a mask in most instances. For unvaccinated people, Illinois will continue to “recommend” masking up.

Phase 5 also marks the return of festivals, concerts and large events without capacity limits and restrictions.

WE MADE IT!
