What do you do when you win the NASCAR Cup Series Championship and return to your hometown of Dawsonville, Georgia?

If you are Chase Elliott you drive your race car through the streets to let everybody know you are home.

Dawsonville is a town of around 3,000 people. The town was a huge supporter of Bill Elliott during his career in NASCAR. That support has also been extended to Bill’s son Chase during his racing career.

You can see in the video below shared on Twitter that trucks followed Chase through town. The people of Dawsonville came out to the streets to cheer their latest local NASCAR Champion.

Chase has also been voted as the Most Popular Drive in NASCAR for the past two years (2018,2019). I would bet that he will win the award again this year. It’s an award his father won 16 times between 1984 and 2002. You can see one of the reasons why Chase has won the award in the video below. His genuine humility is obvious in the video below.
