Dolly Parton has just announced a new book that will give us some rare insight into her life through the lyrics of her songs. Dolly Parton, Songteller: My Life in Lyrics is set for release this fall.

We all love Dolly, especially her songs, but mostly because we love the incredible stories behind those songs. She is one of the greatest songwriters and storytellers of all time, and now she is going to let us in on some of her greatest songs and the stories behind them with her first ever book of lyrics.

The book will tell the story of her life using the lyrics of 175 of her favorite songs over the last 60 years of her career. I can’t even imagine how long it took for her to pick the songs she wanted to use for the book, because Dolly jokes that all of her songs are her favorites and you can’t love one more than the other.

Dolly said: “A songteller is what I am, and this is my first-ever book of lyrics. So, I’ve revisited my memories and opened up my archives to share the stories and treasures behind them in a way I never have before. It’s going to be a beautiful book!”
