The 53rd Annual CMA Awards nominations were announced this morning (8/28). There were some names noticeably missing from the list of nominees that could be considered snubs.

I understand that there are only a certain number of awards and a certain number of nomination slots available in each category. However, when some of the biggest names in country music don’t receive even a single nod, it is something fans will notice.

There were three names that instantly jumped out at me as “never mentioned” when all the nominees were revealed … Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean and Kane Brown. All three of these artists have had a great year with number one singles, major sales (songs and albums) and massive ticket sales for concerts. Yet, none of them got even a single nomination for the CMA Awards.

Upon further reflection of the list of nominees I noticed some more names that were missing that could have been included. Those artists who had very good years, but were not nominated are Chris Young, Jon Pardi and Dustin Lynch.

Which artist(s) were you surprised to find out did not get even a single nomination?
