Scientists say that the meteor shower known as the Perseids will reach its peak this Monday (8/12/19) into Tuesday morning (8/13/19).

According to the American Meteor Society (AMS), “the Perseids are the most popular meteor shower as they peak on warm August nights as seen from the Northern Hemisphere.”

It’s expected that up to 100 meteors per hour will occur during the peak night. However, normal rates seen from rural areas will be in the 50-75 meteors per hour. That’s still has to be an awesome visual to see!
