A Tacoma woman ended up going to the hospital after posing for a photo with an octopus on her face!

Jamie Bisceglia was taking part in a fishing derby when one of the fisherman snagged an octopus. KIRO 7 News reports Bisceglia put the octopus on her face to pose for a funny picture for the derby’s photo contest.

Unfortunately, she didn’t think it through. The octopus ended up grabbing hold and biting her face with its venom-laced beak.

Bisceglia said the bite left her in “intense pain” and that she’ll be on antibiotics for months. She admits in hindsight that the photo op was “a big mistake”.
