What an experience this was! Yesterday I got a chance to be a passenger in the 1928 Ford Tri-Motor airplane that is at the airport in Bloomington through the weekend. I can’t recommend this enough! You can get all of the details as to where you can get your tickets HERE.

The plane is truly beautiful. When I stepped out onto the runway to board, you could just feel the history. Once I boarded, I was blown away by how great the wood work was. When they say this airplane was luxury when it was introduced, I completely understood.

The real joy of the experience came once the engines started though

The take-off was a fun rush. Even though the plane is 90 years old, it brings plenty of power!

I did not want the trip to end! As I do with all of my airplane trips though, I always get a little nervous for the landing. I had nothing to be nervous about with the Ford Tri-Motor. The landing was as smooth as any plane I’ve ever been on.
