Youth sports, it’s about the love of the game and building friendships. Well, it is supposed to be. With crooked coaches and overbearing parents, sometimes the “love of the game” gets lost. Thanks to former NHL player Bryan Berard’s nephew, we have all been reminded.
In a tear jerking video Berard (one of the team’s coaches) recorded, the young man get’s very emotional while addressing his teammates after his team’s season ended. If you don’t get a little teary eyed watching the video, you might not have a soul.
Did you catch that? “I love you guys like brothers.” That gets me every time. Good for you, kid. You’re the man and are why sports are great today.
