May the 4th be with you! It is Star Wars Day friends! In honor of this most awesome day, our friends at Star Wars have published a TON of content of fun things you can do on Star Wars Day! They have a ton of deals too, so if Mom is a fan of Star Wars, might be a good idea to shop for Mother’s Day today!

My favorite thing they did though was the special “Star Wars” recipes they created, because it’s not a celebration without food! Check that out here! My wife and I will, for sure, be making those ‘Jawa Smores’.

NOW! What are some fun things you can do on Star Wars Day?  Of course, you could watch any of the 7 movies or the TV shows, but let me tell you what I love to do. I will be watching “A New Hope” today, without a doubt. I don’t stop there though! I will also watch a bunch of Star Wars documentaries. I love being able to learn more about the characters and the ‘characters‘ who played them. Plus, it is fun to learn about the mythology of the story and how history influenced George Lucas.

This Star Wars day will be a little sad though. In the last year, not only has Carrie Fisher, Princess Leia, passed away, but so has original R2-D2 actor Kenny Baker. Those two, especially Fisher, did so much to make Star Wars the cultural icon it is today.

So! Get home, cook up some Star Wars goodies, maybe watch the trailer for ‘LAST JEDI‘, and bing watch some Star Wars! Enjoy the day, friends! And of course, May The Force Be With You.
