Dierks Bentley has debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Album sales chart with his new album Black and also makes his highest debut ever on the Billboard 200 all-genre chart.

Black is the ninth studio album from Dierks and sold 101,000 units in the first week of release with 88,000 in traditional album sales according to Billboard.com. That gave the new album the number one spot on the Billboard Country Album Sales chart for this week. This marks the sixth #1 selling country album for Dierks.

It was also enough to give Dierks the #2 debut on the Billboard 200 all-genre chart. This is the highest mark Dierks has ever achieved on this specific chart. His previous high mark was set in 2009 with his Feel That Fire album hit #3 on the Billboard 200.

The album’s debut single “Somewhere On A Beach” has already hit #1 on the country singles charts. The song became Dierks’ 14th career number one and held the top spot on the chart for two weeks.

Dierks will join Elle King on the CMT Music Awards show Wednesday (6/8) to perform the next single from the album, which is a duet from the two titled “Different For Girls.”

Congratulations for another #1 selling country album for Dierks Bentley with Black.
