Behind the Scenes of Carrie Underwood’s “Smoke Break” Video

Entertainment Tonight has the exclusive premiere of Carrie Underwood’s new music video “Smoke Break” and you can go behind the scenes on the video shoot here.

The TV show was on the set of the two-day video shoot in the Mojave Desert with the new mom while her song and husband were with her, but on the tour bus.

The behind the scenes report reveals some things that we otherwise would not have known about the music video for “Smoke Break.” For example, the jean cutoff shorts that Carrie wears in the video are actually her own shorts, not from wardrobe. The shots with the red outfit she wore during the ET interview (and in the feature picture on the home page) did not make the final cut of the music video. Additionally, during the interview Carrie shares her tips to remaining true to yourself.

The Entertainment Tonight website has exclusive rights to the music video for right now. So, you can watch the music video for “Smoke Break” by Carrie Underwood here.

Talking about the music video for the debut single “Smoke Break” from the forthcoming new album Storyteller that she co-wrote, Carrie said, “For the storyline, I really just wanted it to be mainly about strong women — strong beautiful women who are doing everything that the boys do. And, at the end we all get together and have our break. Hardworking during the front-end of the video and having our break, our ‘Smoke Break,’ at the end of the video.”

Talking about the new album and what fans can expect Carrie said, “I want to grow as an artist and I just want every album to have its own feeling and then it all feels different and it all works together when I’m on tour.” She then added, “So with this one, with Storyteller, things ended up being more twangy but kinda this cool, edgy twang, like a rock twang. It just ended up being a new thing for me, which I’m really excited about.”

Carrie revealed that she did write and record a song for the new man in her life, son Isaiah, “We did write a song for the little man. I was actually trying to resist that urge, but it just kinda happened and it was really organic and sweet and I think it’s going to be a really cool thing for him to know that that’s his song.”
