Ballin on Beaufort

NORMAL, Ill. - Illinois State athletics has announced the return of Ballin' on Beaufort presented by Bloomington Normal Automall, a preseason men's and women's basketball event held on East Beaufort Street between the circle and Linden Street in Uptown Normal on Thursday, October 17. 

The event, held in partnership with the Town of Normal, begins with a fan festival at 5:00 p.m., and at 6:30 p.m. the program will start with player introductions and contests to follow on an Illinois State-specific temporary court installed on East Beaufort Street. 

"Ballin' on Beaufort was a tremendous success in its first year, and we look forward to connecting with our community once again this fall," said men's basketball head coach Ryan Pedon. "The uniqueness of the environment and the interactive approach to the event made for an enjoyable evening for all ages under the stars. We look forward to a great evening on Thursday, October 17." 

"We are thrilled to bring Ballin' on Beaufort back to Uptown," women's basketball head coach Kristen Gillespie said. "I cannot wait to see this event grow this year. It is such a cool and interactive way to introduce both programs to our community." 

After the event there will be a meet-and-greet with the teams along with an autograph session, and fans are encouraged to stick around at one of the many restaurants and bars adjacent to the festivities.
