Leave it to Dolly Parton to find a better way to serve children with Autism and their families. Dollywood is the first theme park in the world to incorporate a sensory room for children and their families who need calming or soothing.
Theme parks can be very overwhelming for anybody, but especially for children with Autism. So, Dollywood created a room where parents can take their children to calm down, instead of hiding in the bathroom, or not going to the Themepark at all. Some families may never get the opportunity to experience an amusement park such as Dollywood if it wasn’t for this new room.
