I know it seems like we just got done with Redbird football. This weekend marks the start of spring practice for Coach Spack and the boys. I spoke with Michael WilliamsAssistant AD of Athletics and he said:
All practices are open to the public unless coach decides to close for a scrimmage and fans should pay attention to the Redbird football twitter page for updates. Times will be
Practice for Saturday is at 2:30pm, practice Sunday starts at 1:30pm and then they go to their regular Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday up until the spring game.
The expectations are high for the Redbirds after going to the FCS National Championship game and losing in the final seconds to North Dakota State. Coach Spack joined us the week after the game to remind everyone that we lost quite a few seniors that were also team leaders. I still believe the Illinois State Redbirds have a great chance to return to the FCS Championship game and win.
