The long-awaited Zach Bryan-John Mayer collaboration happened on Tuesday (June 4th). Zach recently performed at Crypto.com Arena (previously the Staples Center) in Los Angeles as part of his “Quittin’ Time Tour 2024,” and he invited his friend John Mayer to join him on stage.
“John Mayer” undoubtedly conjures up bubblegum music, especially his song, “Your Body Is A Wonderland,” but he has turned into one of the world’s best guitarists and has helped younger artists write and produce new music while playing with the Grateful Dead in a successful “Dead and Company” venture (currently in a residency at the Sphere).
Zach posted a video of John joining him, then deleted it to not spoil a surprise, which some believe is a collaboration between the two artists. However, TikTok user @zachbryanarchive posted a video of the performance. The audio is not the best, but you can get a feel for the song.
To make the cameo even bigger, John Mayer stayed for a performance of “Revival,” which included a guitar duel with Zach’s guitarist.
