A university in Alaska has a unique way to fight hunger as well as collect fines for parking tickets. However, I’m not too sure I personally would do it.
The University of Alaska-Anchorage will accept payment for unpaid parking fines by peanut butter and jelly.
Officials say the food will go to help struggling students. They will take any nut butter or jelly, jam or marmalade for full or partial payment.
The university does this as a yearly tradition. Offenders have until November 8th to pay off the tickets.
Personally, I would rather pay the money than part with my PB&J. If you have listened to me on B104 (or followed me on social media), you know how much I LOVE my daily PB&J lunch.
I’ll be happy to help out those in need in any other way I can. I’ll donate just about anything else … Just not my PB&J!
